Mr. R. Arunachalam a visionary, the right person for a needful organization. His capabilities and merits are innumerable. Mr. R. Arunachalam has acquired an expertise in establishing & organizing housing co-operative Societies, since more than two decades, in particular, Government activities formation of layouts and distribution of 9000 sites in and around Bangalore. He under took a Herculean task, of running from pillar to post in various government departments like BDA, BMRDA, HUD, KEB, BWSSB, ULC & interacted with authorities such as Taluk officers, Commissioners, Chief Engineers, Registrars of Corporative Societies, Land Acquisition Officers, Bangalore City Corporation Authorities and other related authorities.

He has mastered the matters in formation of societies like conversion of land for residential purpose, formation of layout, carrying out civil works and distribution of sites.

In appreciation to his abilities, expertise and achievements, the Government of Karnataka, had nominated him as a Chairman for the task force committee. He was the only Non-MLA, out of 124 MLA's in the committee and has done an excellent job of distributing 30,000 free sites in a span of 12 months. He was the convener of many Housing Societies and also the Vice-Chairman of Association of Housing Societies in Bangalore; Mr. R. Arunachalam was appreciated by the public for his work and dedicated services. He is a self-made man. All the layouts formed as of now, by him are self-execution.


The various stages of work such as civil works, asphalting, providing drainage, water supply, storm water drains, erection of electric poles, drawing wire, installation of transformers, fixing, Street light, planting of trees, ear marking land for parks and finally allotment of sites to the members, have been carried out with his personal supervision. It is obvious to mention that all these stages of work do not sail smoothly unless people are co-operative. Working successfully under such strenuous situation, shows his dexterity. Apart from the above, Mr. Arunachalam is the founder of BEST Club, which is one of the biggest clubs and Shakthi Hill Resorts, The Only Hillock Resort in Bangalore.


A great poet may be good at imagination, but to implement the imagination & bring that into existence needs creativity & vision. Mr.R. Arunachalam is blessed with all these virtues & has utilized it to the full possible extent. . A barren hillock, which was of no use in Halagadeva halli, came to his notice. He converted this barren land into a paradise & today it is a haven for Bangaloreans. It is a masterpiece of his skills, vision, dedication, and willpower. He has earned abundant experience in this field.


There are some special features in the Shakthi Hill Resorts. Asia's biggest man made waterfall of 150 feet wide and 57 feet high, the second one is the Rock cut cave of 250 feet deep, ideally suitable for meditation and as well as for conferences. There is also a mist zone artificially created, to bring the feeling of being in Ooty in summer. In addition, a fort built on historical background surrounds the resort. The visitors to this resort are from all walks of life and have appreciated the efforts of Mr. R. Arunachalam.


He has been conferred the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, Priyadarshini Award and many other awards. He has been an active participant in the housing sector, tourism sector, formation of layouts, and other public welfare and cultural programs. Inspite of all this name & fame, he has not aspired for Media publicity. It is his humbleness & dedication the cause for his success and that which has opened the new horizon in the life of many.
